Yes it does .... But if you are a Obama goalie and apologist you can spin anything to your point if view eventually.....

@macdaddy:

Might I add if you're an Obama protagonist you can spin things your way as well.

Rocket - are you willing to acknowledge that the Benghazi event a was in fact a terrorist attack?

IMO - The administration is made up of lairs, inept fools, or both.

Period.

I don't have anything further to add regarding your question on Benghazi. As to your statement, every administration in the history of the United States has had its share of liars, inept fools, or both.

@rocket:

You see...the rub is, rocket, that you really don't see it that way. You really don't believe that this Administration would lie or be foolish. You say it is "always about politics"....but you do not accept the this President is "all about politics". You would say that all of this Benghazi fiasco is only an issue because of his political opponents....but you never would acknowledge the possibility that HE, would use the "video" story line, to cover his political hide for the election.
Truth is, with the Healthcare Act "you can keep you insurance", Benghazi, IRS, NSA, or any of the other issues that "he had no immediate knowledge of"....he is either a liar or an inept fool.

At a historic low approval rating of 36%...( lower than GWB) rocket is in the minority.....
And he knows that

"I don't have anything further to add regarding your question on Benghazi. "

Unfortunately, that figures.

I wished we were told by the POTUS "We did everything humanly possible to save them" That is what I would want to hear. The POTUS did no do that. Instead we were and are being lied to under the auspices of plausible deniability. I have ZERO doubt about that.

There is a LIAR in the WH. PERIOD.

It really saddens me that people support him and his LIES.

Stand down. Do not go and save those being attacked in Benghazi.
One or more POS politician gave those directions.

Left to their own devise the U.S. Military would have done everything humanly possible to defend our nation being attacked. Period. That is how those GREAT men and women roll! Thank GOD.

How can "our" ideas/ideals and what we should do to reach "our" common objectives be so far apart?

How can the two sides be so diametrically opposed with regards to what they stand for and their principles?

I don't think "our" interests/objectives should be so vastly dissimilar.

I find it very perplexing to the point of being disturbing.

@bobn:

As I said once before on this board, you have to wonder what would have happened if the U.S. Ambassador in Benghazi was Chelsea Clinton! I would bet that our response would have been somewhat different!

@bobn

If you don't want to support a liar in the White House, ever, that probably means you should stop voting in presidential elections. All of them have and will lie to the American people. Even the best of presidents have lied to the people.

And our interests aren't vastly dissimilar. To speak plainly to you, that is one of the reasons why Republican followers have turned me away from the party; it's no fault of the party itself, but many of the people I have run across irritate me (although not every one. There are some Republicans on here whose word and intelligence I value greater than any Democrat's). There seems to be a pervading air, especially on this board, that liberals are stupid, that we have no interest in what's best for the country, that we are liars, cheaters and are unpatriotic. It seems to me, it can never be "we simply disagree" or "we are two intelligent people having a political disagreement." It's always "libtard" "sheep" "apologist", on and on. Sometimes, it seems, it's easy to forget that people like rocket, Undecided, me, etc., are all Americans who want the best for our country, that love our country. I know of a few Democrats on here have served in the military, willing to go through the ultimate sacrifice to do so.

Our principles are not that dissimilar, either. It may seem that way because we constantly find ourselves concentrating upon what divides us, here on this board. Gay marriage, gun control, Obama (and under that category falls about 90% of what we argue about), but those subjects don't define who I am as a human being and what my values are.

@nikkiole:

Well said Nik! In Democrats versus Democrats, there are differences. And in Republicans versus Republicans, there are differences. Hence, there is no definition of all "Democrats" or all "Republicans". Very few people walk in lock step with another. Painting "all" of anything as one way or the other is painting with a pretty broad brush. It was this kind of closed mind that allowed all forms of prejudice and discrimination to survive.

And, as the most powerful person in the country, the POTUS is the sacred cow - for either party! And their party will do anything to keep that position in their party. Hence, as MD likes to say, we get spin (a more polite way of saying distortion of the truth to suit one's needs at that time).

I do not understand why some people on this board insist upon name calling when there is a disagreement on a subject. When I start to read a thread, something that really interests me, it seems as though the name calling starts before the end of the first page. The "Anonymity of the Internet" at its very best. Very sad.
