Once you get past Coach's and Timber Forest the limit should be changed to 35 mph all the way to Krogers.

Then they can ticket people going 45 and over.

45 mph limit means people want to do 50 and 55 which is too fast in that stretch any time of day or night.

6 am this am... I watched an idiot swerving in and out of lanes and passing cars on the center turn Lane... He got up to 80 right passed that area....
He got stopped at the light and was 3 cars in front of me...,

This "accident" was not caused by road conditions- it was caused by stupidity. The only way to eliminate stupid drivers is to take their licenses away and throw them in jail if they are caught driving. Thank goodness they didn't kill someone while out on their death ride.

I have seen so many terrible accidents on that stretch of road. I honestly stay off 1960 as much as possible. The stretch from Woodland Hills up to Old Macdonald's Farm where people are driving 65-70 is just crazy. I would most like to see a barrier median and slower speeds.

What were the circumstances? I haven't seen any additional information besides "high rate of speed" and a loss of control.

Tim,
You are right on the mark. These solutions have been proposed by TXDOT, but nothing ever gets done. The community needs to support the effort suggested by TexasPromoWear.
