I never said Rush was right...I just said he says a lot of things in jest, like a comedian does, but most people think it's ok when it comes from a filthy mouthed comedian.
I love how people that hate Rush go back and forth on what he is. Sometimes he is a dangerous political figure....and when it fits, he is nothing but an overpaid entertainer. Cracks me up.
Take him for what he is. A lot of what he says makes sense, but if you are a head in the sand lefty, you won't agree with anything he says. I could not care less. I might listen to him once a week, if I have time.
I'll tell you what though, I do get a lot of news from him that you will not hear on mainstream news. And yes, I do my research after I hear it to make sure I'm not being gullible.
@AtascaGuy:
I agree that Bashir should have been dumped (pun intended). Because he was representing a supposed news channel. There are no real journalists anymore. It's just dead and that is sad.
Let me start by saying that I'm not a fan Rush Limbaugh. I don't listen to him a lot but he is pretty intelligent overpaid entertainer. I agree with some of his views but he's hardly a role model or above reproach. Every political figure and analyst is going to spin things in their favor. He's not fair and balanced and doesn't really pretend to be, but he is representing himself and his views. Therefore I don't think he should fire himself.
I occassionally listen to him to get a different point of view and he brings up some interesting topics that many don't want to touch. I'm not impressed at how he always presents himself as the smartest man on the airwaves, but he's the blueprint for a successful political radio host. But he's done well for himself and he does his homework.
He's not always right though. A couple of weeks ago he was talking about the President trying to stack the district courts in his favor by adding new seats. After researching I realized that the President was trying to stack the district court by trying to fill vacant seats.
