Sarah Palin was and is an idiot. The fact of the matter is Ukraine is a former Soviet satellite country. To this day Russia maintains a very large naval base in Crimea. Another problem is nearly half of the country is pro-Russia. What would she have the U.S. to do? Go to nuclear war with the Russians over the situation?
Thank God someone like her was not sitting in the Oval Office chair during the Cuban Missile Crisis of 1962. Because most assuredly none of us would be here today debating foreign policy on this board. Our parents and their parents would have been vaporized along with most of the rest of humanity.
Lastly, Sarah didn't even have enough political backbone to finish out her term as governor. Oh yes, let's all listen to her advice on how to handle the Russians. After-all as she said, her foreign policy credentials comes from the fact she lives next door to them.
