series, this week we sat down with Dr. Shannon De Vera, DDS, the primary
pediatric dentist at Smile Big Pediatric Dentistry.
Tell us a bit about your business: What does your business offer, and how long have you been around?
We
offer a full range of pediatric dental services from routine cleanings
and check-ups to a full host of restorative care. Our treatment options
are customized to each child’s unique needs and provided in a warm,
friendly and comfortable environment. We opened in June 2018.
How did you decide to get involved in this line of work?
I
enjoy working with children; so, I decided to pursue a pediatric
residency in dentistry. I knew that pursuing this advanced education
would allow me to make a difference in the lives of children. My goal is
to provide exceptional care and give kids the tools to maintain a
healthy smile.
Tell us a couple things you are proud of about your business. What are you known for? What separates you from the competition?
We
are proud to share our modern, state-of-the-art office with our new
neighbors. We have created a fun and comfortable environment to make
visits to the dentist less stressful for kids and their parents alike.
We are parents too; so, we strive to make every visit memorable and fun.
What is your favorite part of running this business?
I
love seeing our families find a relaxed dental home with us and helping
them establish healthy dental habits while having positive dental
experiences.
Who is your ideal customer/client? Who do you serve best?
Our
ideal patients are children ages 0 to 18 years. From our patient’s
first baby tooth to the first day of college, our team is here to make
sure that each one of our patients feels relaxed throughout their visit
and receives the care they need to Smile Big every day.
Is there any other information you'd like your potential customers/clients to know about your business?
To
help introduce ourselves to the ever growing community and to thank our
incredible patients, we are hosting a Spring Spectacular Party on
Saturday, May 18th from 11 am to 3 pm. We will have games, face
painting, a petting zoo, dunking booth, obstacle course and more. There
will be hot dogs, hamburgers, refreshments and snow cones by Kona Ice.
