As part of our ongoing "Getting to Know Your Local Businesses" series, this week we sat down with Joseph Brown, Owner of Behavioral Solutions of Texas.

Tell us a bit about your business: What does your business offer, and how long have you been around?
We offer full family and individual psychotherapy treatment options and have been in the Humble/Houston area since 2013 and licensed since 2009. We work on all aspects of behavioral and happiness related issues and how they affect family members.

How did you decide to get involved in this line of work? How did the business get started?
We have been involved in assisting families and individuals with addiction and relational issues in some capacity for over 20 years and saw the need for wholistic or whole person, whole family therapy in Texas.

Tell us a couple things you are proud of about your business. What are you known for? What separates you from the competition?
We have a broad experience base through social work and family systems eduction and understand that one family

members issue effects the entire family. Our niche is helping each member find happiness. We work with real issues and success comes when the individual desires to change.

What is your favorite part of running this business?
We love making a positive difference in peoples’ lives.

Who is your ideal customer/client? Who do you serve best?
Our ideal client/patient is anyone who wants to feel better about who they are. Even if you don’t think it’s possible!

Can you tell us something about yourself as the business owner? What is your background?
Joseph Brown LCSW - I'm a native Texan, USAF Veteran, worked 10 years in the oilfield and acquired my Masters’ degree working and helping as a volunteer and intern in the evening.

Are there any special promotions, annual sales, or special events that you'd like to mention?
We accept insurance and have a sliding scale available for those without insurance. We also accept Medicare and Medicaid.

Is there any other information you'd like your potential customers/clients to know about your business?
Anyone can feel better and recover from loneliness, depression, loss of love ones, ANYONE!

How do you see your business growing and improving over the next couple of years?
We would like to serve the community in the best capacity possible – we’re going where we are guided, we just try to do the right thing that is in front of us.
