Interview with Robert Orr of Kingwood Pressure Washing and Roof Cleaning - Atascocita

As part of our ongoing "Getting to Know Your Local Businesses" series, this week we sat down with Robert Orr of Kingwood Pressure Washing.

Tell us a bit about your business: What does your business offer, and how long have you been around?

Kingwood Pressure Washing has been in business since 2010. We offer pressure washing, power washing, soft washing, gutter cleaning, window washing, graffiti removal and much more.

How did you decide to get involved in this line of work? How did the business get started?
Kingwood Pressure Washing was started as a side job to make some extra money in 2008. The demand for our great service grew more and more, and eventually it was turned into a full time job. As time went on, the need for more technicians grew and grew, which has turned us into the great company that we are today.

Tell us a couple things you are proud of about your business. What are you known for? What separates you from the competition?
As a business owner, I am proud of our service model that we stand by. We offer a 100% customer satisfaction guarantee to all of our clients. We understand that your satisfaction is what is needed to continue to grow as a company, and to retain the repeat business year after year. This is also what separates up from the competition.

What is your favorite part of running this business?
Customer interaction is my favorite part of this business. Even as the company grows, I enjoy getting out in the field to meet with our clients and hear what their needs are. I also like to receive feedback on things we can do to improve our customer service, and service in general.

Who is your ideal customer/client? Who do you serve best?
Every customer is our ideal customer. Even if it’s a small service request, we treat them just the same as we would a big commercial client.

Can you tell us something about yourself as the business owner? What is your background?
Before creating Kingwood Pressure Washing, I was a department manager for a geotechnical engineering firm. We tested soils, asphalt, and concrete for both residential and commercial properties. My specialty was concrete, which rolls over into the pressure washing industry. My knowledge of concrete, and how it’s made, helps me further my skills on how to clean it, and keep it clean.

Are there any special promotions, annual sales, or special events that you’d like to mention?
We at Kingwood Pressure Washing have promotions here and there that we post on social media pages, but we always offer a 10% discount to our armed forces, police officers, and teachers. We offer a 15% discount to our senior citizen’s.

Is there any other information you’d like your potential customers/clients to know about your business?
We would just like everyone to know that with Kingwood Pressure Washing, you are not hiring your common fly-by-night pressure washing company. We have been here for years, and we will continue to be here when you need us in the future.

How do you see your business growing and improving over the next couple of years?
Here at Kingwood Pressure Washing, we are constantly researching new chemicals, equipment, and methods to perform pressure washing. We are looking for the best practices to bring the best results for our customers.
