My issue was not a choice but a financial issue.

I am sorry to hear that. I believe that every kid that wants should have the opportunity to own their Sr. yearbook, but as we are all aware - it typically is on a shelf by mid june and possibly reviewed only on the occasion of an infrequent reunion - if even that often.

You do not have to defend your comments. You are entitled to an opinion.

The problem is that if have an opinion that differs from theirs, your an auto-hater. That's a damn shame!

No that's not true. If you are mean, then you are mean.

It is true, even on other subjects, I sit back and watch it happen daily, not just here, but every where. It's incredibly frustrating.

Well, yes, many are so rigid in their opinions that anyone differing sets off their anger and hatred.

However I think this wouldn't have gone so awry if the issues had been presented more diplomatically.

I for one think some of the points have been valid and could be used to guide future yearbooks.

But remember, we can't be offended or we're snowflakes. So we can't be offended by a "gay page" or "Mike Hunt" or that teens aren't the best spellers. We've had multiple posts this week telling us if we are offended, it's our own fault.

Can't remember which thread but the post that really got me was the one that said that if you didn't feel the yearbook page was appropriate and thought it shouldn't be there, you were partly responsible for homosexual suicide, for not letting them express themselves.

What?!!!!

As in many things, possibly a stretch, but at the same time, being familiar with the number of kids who commit suicide or attemo to because of their inability to deal with the struggles of not being accepted, or realizing that they themselves are that freak that their parents and friends have insulted their entire lives, the inlusion of this club may easily save a life.

Now since all ahs clubs are given the opportunity to buy a page in the yearbiok, perhaps we should talk about the clubs we would like to see banned.

Wise words. Until someone walks in their shoes, you never know the struggle.
