That's is public knowledge and posted for the world to see; however, I didn't know you were gay I simply believed your quote didn't belong in the high school annual I paid for.

@atascocitadotcom can you please explain to her that her
Picture and quote being posted is public knowledge once it leaves the press and at no time did I slander your name. I simply reposted something that is in the public eye via your permission. Thank you.

There is a difference between being offended and believing some of the comments have no class and reflect poorly on the school.

Posting my senior quote along with my photo identity in a conversation with adults who are attacking the LGBT community, puts me in a harmful situation. You aren't considering the emotional and mental damage being done and you are just as wrong for posting my image.

Only official expressions of awesomeness approved by AHS should be allowed, yes no maybe?
Students should not be independent thinkers under any circumstances, yes no maybe?

For the last time this thread was not just directly targeting gay people.

I see nothing here that both parents and children see in the movies and TV programs they both enjoy and songs that apparently many purchase based on millions made by the "artists".

Like i said, the yearbook is not for the parents. It's for the students. Did you buy a yearbook for your parents or for you?

@MOMOFAHS
I did not buy a yr book . My parents paid for it . And knowing my parents my dad would have burned it & brought the ashes back to the school . I purchased the song Louie Louie .My dad gave me a strong invitation over to the trash can & broke the thing in 1/2 & said do not bring another one in this house !

There would be no need for a gay section if everyone did not assume everyone is straight to begin with. For example while I (a female student) was doing my prom planning and shopping there was not a single person who when I spoke of a date did not automatically assume my date was male. Being a member of the LGBTQ+ community does become part of your identity and is such a big deal to be proud of mostly because of people constantly showing negative attitudes and making disrespectful comments as you have evidenced. You need to get a face for the people you are hurting with your comments. There is no reason another persons identity should have any affect on you. You never "decided" to be straight, when you started to get a certain age maybe you got butterflies around cute boys, started to get innocent crushes and blushed when they talked to you. Did you tell your body to make your cheeks blush or your heart race? No those are uncontrolled responses. We don't choose our sexuality but we can choose to respect each other for our differences; especially when it is in regards to something as trivial as happening to love another person.
