@bikerchick69 No I honestly hate it! We can't pray in school but now we have a section strictly dedicated to the gay community explaining how, when and why they came "out". I'm honestly disgusted and embarrasssed. I'm not judging anyone for being gay so don't come back at me with that crap the point is we can't pray, we can't have the Bible in the school but it's OK to serve all that liberal propaganda in our high school annual. It's a double sword and it's a double standard!!!!!
@bikerchick69 For example I'm supposed to respect your rights for choosing your lifestyle, however you're not obligated to respect mine regarding your liberal choices. This sets the precedence: for me not throwing the Bible at you (not literally) for being gay just as it does for you throwing the liberal propaganda in the high school annual for my daughter to be obligated to have to read . JMO
That is total crap! Let us know when you call the school. I bet they get more than 1 phone call!!!! I don't give a rat's *** if your gay or when you came out of the closet. And, I don't care to hear or read it. If you need a Therapist, hire one!!! That has no place in a High School yearbook! Period.
I saw one that i thought was funny but at the same time probably wasn't appropriate for for school. one student did the "Free at last, Free at last, Thank God almighty we are free at last." no credit to Martin Luther King, in all honesty i see what he was doing with the quote, but it just felt like it cheapened MLK's quote. .another student put, "I am going where the white girls are" .
OMG! What a mess. Honestly, heads should roll over this. Who wants a yearbook with sharpie scribbles all thru it? I am with Lynnsgirl. Full refund! This blunder could cost the school, in many ways.
Oh wow. You would really think they would look through all the quotes before publishing them. I would be asking for a refund too.
I think it should be the responsibility of the Journalism teacher: www.humbleisd.net/Do main/8751 Kevin Tatum, head of the Journalism Department.
