I worked in a Cajun restaurant (whose name shall not be mentioned) many years ago and this is how one of the cooks checked the temp of the gumbo...stick finger in gumbo, remove finger, lick gumbo off finger, repeat with remaining bowls of gumbo. For real!

Hep A, etc. I know first hand (no pun), Ds got Hep A from daycare. After Health Dept, investigation Hep A passed because caretakers were not changing gloves between kids. I am sure the apron....contamination not good....YUCK!!'

Wearing an apron or chef's coat into a restroom is against the health codes regulations.

Speak up people. To. the folks doing this. " hey hon, I noticed you forgot to remove your apron before you came in here. I know you want to follow health codes, so be sure you replace it before you go back near food." "Hey friend, you probably forgot, but you're not to touch food and money w same gloves. Thought you might like a friendly reminder." Of course if they go all ballistic and defensive on you, your next option is to ask to speak to the manage. If they ARE the mgr....make a loud announcement to everyone there. Then.... RUN!!

@TheCatsMeowAt Shipley's, I was lucky they could understand what donut I wanted after telling them several times in several different ways. All I wanted was the donut filled with chocolate cream. It was absolutely ridiculous. Cutsomer service people working in America need to habla English.
