Andi7 : My father-in-law owned a little Porsche back in the 80's. At some point he sold it and that was that. About 7-10 years later, it was found at the bottom of Lake Houston, not far from the bridge. We only know, because whoever had it, had never changed the registration, so it came back to my father-in-law. That was crazy.EDIT: It may have been longer than 10 years. It was at a time when they were actively trying to clean up the lake.

Yeah, every car we sell, we unregistered them. We had a gifted one come back to us because they abandoned it in the Walmart parking lot and they never registered it with the money we gave them to. They were close friends of ours that needed a car. 🖕🏻

Andi7 : Yes! My same father-in-law sold one of his business trucks to a "friend" of my eldest DS. Having learned his lesson about unregistering, he did his, especially since it was a company vehicle. Well .... DH and I are sitting in our den one night and receive a call from a Sherriff in some Louisiana parish. Yep, they recovered that same dang truck, which had been abandoned. Traced it back to our company. Crazy.
