Hmm, two different things going on ... yet the same thing ...
One. Someone stole his car (crime) and he wants someone (the police) to look into it.
Two. He is an illegal (crime) but wants his crime overlooked.
If I were in a foreign country (visiting) and a crime was committed against me, I would seek help (from the police).
Details in this case will matter. Suing because he got caught in/with his crime?
Sounds like the police were doing their job... interesting, wondering how this one will turn out.
