I have no clue. My DW has not been in the classroom for about 8 years now and the last 3 years teaching was with Texas Tech. She moved out of the class room before it got bad. She does miss the class room. She got to spend last week in a school helping with the first week back. She enjoyed it but was ready to get back to home office.

Good luck I'm not a teacher but managed people for over 40 years. Times and people have changed, you have to be a bit of a psychologist to stay on top. It does wear you down. My suggestion would be to find an admin role within the district and keep working towards the pension. Your highest earning years are the ones that count, so if they are already behind you then taking a lower paying position won't hurt. You really don't want to walk away from the pension though
