Suspect Arrested in Atascocita After Threatening Constable Deputy

On September 7, 2025, a deputy with Constable Mark Herman’s Office conducted a traffic stop in the 5300 block of FM 1960 Road East.

During the stop, a man identified as Trey Gibson approached, interfered with the investigation, and refused to leave after multiple lawful commands. He then escalated the situation by threatening to kill the deputy.

Trey Gibson was arrested and charged with Terroristic Threat Against a Public Servant. He was booked into the Harris County Jail with bond set at $15,000 by the 495th District Court.

So, he was trying to interfere with a traffic stop on another person it sounds like as opposed to himself. Weird.

@Maxsmom : Right! So weird though. It sounds like the traffic stop was for someone else. Why would he walk up and interfere?

Wondering if the person who was stopped was a relative, friend, or random stranger? Either way, I'm glad that he was arrested.

I am noticing more what we call 1st amendment auditors approaching traffic stops, crime scenes, outside important infrastructures in an attempt to provoke a response to law enforcement officers for youtube ratings.
