@Cbear: Does seem hard to believe. But even HARDER.to believe is the fact that 'Max Vigilant' is the name of the person in Harris County in charge of mosquito control! The paragraph below is from the article:

"Zooming in on Harris County, public health officials are also highlighting this point as April showers will inevitably bring May swarms. Max Vigilant, director of the county's mosquito control division, told Houston Public Media that the area might see more cases of mosquito-borne illnesses than usual this summer, especially after getting off easy in 2022 and 2023 when the county had fewer than 100 cases combined."
