Heck, my son was so excited he exempted from taking 2 of them later this year.. eliminating them all together would be a dream for most kids I'm sure

I'll believe it when I see it. Probably won't happen any time soon. Do STAAR test scores affect your GPA or ranking? Do they matter? Do universities look at them? I never stressed about STAAR tests and neither did DD. Every year news people hype it up so much. You don't have to tell me to make sure she eats breakfast or bring snack that day. She does it every day.
