Isolationism did not work for us in the 30's. I highly disagree with that philosophy. With complete withdrawal..Today we are losing Iraq. Afghanistan is falling, and now we seem to be losing the advantages won, post cold-war.

Weakness

^^^I absolutely agree with you that many that advocate for military force don't have a dog in the fight. Along those lines I think the sacrifice of military service should be shared by all segments of society. Young people both male and female should be required to serve at least two years. We would see then how often the drums of war beat.

Some may sing a different tune when their child is sent. I don't think this would have lasted more than ten years if draftees would be used.
