Is England's crime rate higher than ours?

"The violent crime rate in the UK is 3,100 per 100,000, and in the US it is 380 per 100,000 population."Edit: This is just the number Google gave me when I asked. I've heard that England's violent crime rate is about five times higher, but this suggests the difference is greater still.

Some good points y'all are bringing:- lack of parenting at home, principles and discipline
- lack of discipline at school
- lack of faith and/or a believe in God
- the 24x7 world we live in, with non-stop news glorifying violence, social media, texting, etc.
- the violence on TV and video gamesbut it always comes down to the guns, right @posterguy? yeah, I wish every gun owner in America would take this right more seriously... most of us do.
