I think the photo was staged. I just don't see how the stewardesses or other passengers didn't put a stop to it. Plus, there's no way that position was remotely comfortable for them.
@Sammee : oh it's likey very real. I've witnessed shenanigans such as this on at least half of the TATL flights I've been on. There is a website called Passenger Shaming, it'll show you how pervasive behavior such as this is.
But why would anyone even want to sit like that? Their body would be folded at the waist at a 35-45 degree angle...there's hardly any room between rows. I just don't believe this one is real.
Ohhhhh hell to the no! I would've laid my seat back and caused her/him to fold in half.... they could've sucked on their toes by the time I was done!!!!
