Are they still good seats or do you have a REALLY obstructed view?

Yeah....The "obstruction" is probably a pole as said above...If the seat is somewhat away from the pole, you will still see most of the stage...Even with "regular" seats, if I feel "cramped", I like to get up and go over to the "lawn" section where I can sit on the grass and stretch out...It all depends on the concert/performer...

This is my least favorite venue. The lawn can be fun as an overall experience but not so much for hearing and seeing the performer. I sat in the front row in the seated section once (Alanis Morisette in the 90s) and that was good of course but otherwise...keep expectations low.

I actually enjoy the CWMP as a venue....Easy to get in and out, plus several seating options and the "outdoors" aspect of it is great to me....I'd probably feel the same way(as far as not seeing/hearing the performer) IF I went to see a "singer"...However, the concerts I usually go to are very loud with full bands, pyrotech, etc...I usually go to "feel/experience" the concert more than "see" it...But that's just me...Another reason I like the lawn is I can actually hear what my friends may be saying back there (LOL)...

I'm a pit girl. I like to be as close to the stage as possible, standing the whole time.

Chairs and sitting on grass far away are for wusses. Just kidding.

Last time I was in the pit, I was seeing "The Cure" and as awesome as it was to see my favorite band in the world so close, I got an armpit in my face, and a Doc Martin to my head. This was about 18 years ago!

We were contemplating pit tix for Nine Inch Nails/Soundgarden in August, but I'm too old for that now. Plus, August, in Houston, I doubt it would smell very pleasant.

@Littlegoo:

Yes I've received a few injuries myself. You leave drenched in other people's sweat, beer, and energy drinks. The last few I've said were my last, but I'm in age denial so probably not. It's so boring sitting way back in seats where u have to be mindful of standing up in front of people and stuff. I want to be in the middle of it all.

I took my eldest son to Korn a few months ago, pit of course, and he says he'll never look at me the same. Mom rocks!

Sorry, @Littlegoo... anyone caught in a picture with Orbit, or anything related to the Astros, can't be cool...
