Atascocita Traffic Stop Leads to DWI Arrest with Children in Vehicle

A Harris County deputy arrested a driver on June 2 after an investigation revealed she was allegedly intoxicated while transporting two young children.
Deputies with Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded to a meet-the-officer call related to a traffic stop in the 19400 block of Pinehurst Trail Drive. During the investigation, the driver, identified as Catrina Gentry, showed multiple signs of impairment. Deputies also discovered that a 4-year-old child and a 1-year-old child were passengers in the vehicle.
After conducting Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, deputies determined Gentry was intoxicated and obtained a blood specimen for analysis. Investigators further learned she had a prior Driving While Intoxicated conviction.
Gentry was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail on a charge of Driving While Intoxicated with a Child Passenger. Bond was set at $10,000 by the 180th District Court
