Louisiana Homicide Warrant Leads to Arrest in AtascocitaA woman wanted on a felony negligent homicide warrant from Louisiana was taken into custody May 29 following an investigation by deputies with Constable Mark Herman’s Office.Authorities received information that Destiny Navarro may have been staying at a home in the 5600 block of Deer Timber Trail. While conducting surveillance in the area, deputies observed a vehicle leaving the residence and initiated a traffic stop in the 5600 block of Upper Lake after observing a traffic violation.During the stop, deputies identified Navarro as a passenger and confirmed she was wanted by authorities in Monroe, Louisiana, on an outstanding felony negligent homicide warrant.Navarro was arrested without incident and transported for booking. Officials said she is being held pending extradition proceedings to Louisiana.According to Constable Mark Herman, Navarro's bond was set at $60,000 by the 4th District Court in Ouachita Parish, Louisiana.
