Deputy Hospitalized After Traffic Stop in Atascocita
On December 5, 2025, a deputy with Constable Mark Herman’s Office attempted a traffic stop in the 16800 block of Ramsay Cascades Drive when the driver refused to stop and fled, leading deputies on a vehicle pursuit. The vehicle later pulled into a residential driveway, where the driver was taken into custody without further incident. The driver was identified as Ferron Rushion and showed multiple signs of intoxication. Standardized Field Sobriety Tests were conducted and confirmed impairment. During the investigation, an assisting deputy was exposed to a white powdery substance inside the vehicle and began losing consciousness multiple times. Fellow deputies immediately rendered aid and administered several doses of Narcan. EMS transported the deputy to a local hospital, where he is currently listed in stable condition. Ferron Rushion was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail for Evading in a Motor Vehicle and Driving While Intoxicated. His total bond was set at $5,100 from County Court 14 and the 248th District Court, according to Constable Mark Herman.

Big deal his bond is $5100. That officer could have died. They don't think his life is worth a higher bond. This is not justice anymore. I'm glad the police officer is OK.

I don't know why I'm always surprised when a POS like this has gray hair.
