Felon Captured in Atascocita After Dramatic Pursuit
Mark Herman, Harris County Constable Precinct 4: CONSTABLE K9 “TEJAS BRIONES” NABS FLEEING FELON AFTER BIKE AND FOOT CHASE! On July 28, 2025, a deputy with Constable Mark Herman's Office attempted to initiate a traffic stop on a male bicyclist in the 19100 block of W. Lake Houston Parkway. The suspect refused to stop, fled on the bicycle, then abandoned it and continued fleeing on foot. With the assistance of DPS Air Support and K9 “Tejas Briones,” the suspect was located hiding in a nearby backyard. He was quickly apprehended and identified as Mark Wright, a convicted felon. Further investigation revealed that he had two open felony warrants for Evading Arrest and Assault. “Mark Wright was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail for the open warrants and charged with Evading Arrest with a Previous Conviction. His total bond was set at $100,000.00 out of the 178th District Court.”– Constable Mark Herman
