PCT 4 Deputies arrested a local man on New Year's Eve who was suspected of using threats to steal beer on Christmas day.
According to reports from PCT 4, on Christmas day, a deputy with Constable Mark Herman's Office responded to the Shell Gas Station located in the 8400 block of FM 1960 in reference to a theft.
Upon deputies arriving, it was discovered that a male suspect entered the business, grabbed two cases of beer and attempted to exit without paying. The clerk attempted to stop the suspect but the suspect told the clerk, "don't get shot over a case of beer." The male suspect then fled the scene in a vehicle.
On New Years Eve, a Constable Deputy observed the suspect vehicle at another local gas station in the 8500 block of FM 1960. The deputy identified the driver as 51-year-old Gerald King of Humble, who was positively identified as the suspect in the Christmas-day robbery.
"Gerald King was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Robbery. He received No Bond out of the 178th District Court." - Constable Mark Herman
