The Harris County PCT 4 Constable's Office is asking for the public's help locating a suspected car thief who evaded arrest on Wednesday.
According to reports from PCT 4, on Wednesday, June 13, deputies with Constable Mark Herman's Office conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 10800 block of the North Sam Houston Parkway. The driver led deputies to a business parking lot where he exited the vehicle and fled on foot. A K-9 search of the area ended with negative results.
Further investigation led Constable Deputies to identify the suspect as Sheldon Ramey (26, Houston) and found that the vehicle was stolen. During an inventory of the stolen vehicle, deputies located methamphetamine and marijuana inside.
Ramey is not a stranger to the Harris County court system. He's had multiple arrests over the past decade for drugs, theft, evading and more.
"Sheldon Ramey is currently wanted for Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle, Evading Arrest and Possession of a Controlled Substance. He received No Bond out of the 209th District Court and County Court 10.
