Congratulations to the nine graduating seniors (four from Atascocita High School) of Memorial Hermann Northeast Hospital's Junior Volunteer Program and Health Occupation Student Association members who were awarded college scholarships by the hospital's Auxiliary earlier this month.
The recipients include:
Isabell Beasley of Atascocita High School. Beasley will pursue Biochemistry at Rice University.
Alana Ann Lietz of Atascocita High School. Lietz has been accepted to Texas State University for Nursing.
Emily Pearson of Atascocita High School. Pearson will study nursing at the University of Mary-Hardin Baylor.
Brianna Huberty of Atascocita High School. Huberty will attend Texas Tech University for Biology and Finance.
Lauren Lee of Kingwood High School. Lee will study Biomedical Engineering at Texas A&M University.
Eric Morejon of Kingwood High School. Morejon will attend Texas A&M in the fall to pursue Pre-med and Biomedicine.
Christel Romeguera of Klein Oak High School. Romeguera has been accepted to the University of Louisiana for Nursing.
Nicole Alebesun of Oak Ridge High School. Alebesun will attend Texas State University in the fall to pursue Biology and Psychology.
Luke Bailey of Hargrave High School. Bailey plans to study Pre-med at Stephen F Austin University.
Each year the Memorial Hermann Northeast Auxiliary raises money for scholarships by hosting fundraising sales on the hospital's campus. In order to apply for a scholarship, the high school senior must have volunteered at least one summer as a Junior Volunteer or participated in the HOSA Program at Memorial Hermann Northeast.
