I'm just waiting on Torchy's Tacos to open up so I can spend money I don't really have to spend. Whataburger, Chipotle, and two other places have popped up since I learned a Torchy's was going up.

susanbanthony : Balmoral has so much trouble over there. A friend of mine moved there and she didn't stay six months and sold her house and got out and that was right after it was first developed. And now it's just terrible she said. Her neighbor's been trying to sell her house for almost a year now and nobody wants to buy it. She said the teens there go crazy. Always trouble

Maxsmom : We looked at a house in Balmoral and seriously considered it. So glad we took a pass. I had the thought that the big "lagoon" (pool) would attract all of the partiers. I was right, apparently. I really thought the pool was super cool but then realized that it would be a neighborhood that would attract people that wanted to be on a never-ending beach trip. I like the beach but . . . Anyhoo, I also had concerns about the HOA fees not being sufficient to maintain the "lagoon" as it ages. I suspect it will be a major mess when pumps have to be replaced, pool has to be resurfaced, etc.
