New Blog by Bob Rehak: Developing Tropical Threat Could Impact Atascocita and Greater Houston Area From the blog: Bob Rehak has released some documentation on Invest 97L in the Gulf as it moves toward the Upper Texas and southwestern Louisiana coast. As of Sunday evening, the National Hurricane Center had increased the chance of tropical development to 70%. The system could become a tropical depression or tropical storm before reaching the coast tomorrow night. Tropical storm watches or warnings could be issued as the system develops. Regardless of whether it strengthens further, Harris County Meteorologist Jeff Lindner says a surge of tropical moisture could bring an increasing threat of heavy to potentially excessive rainfall across the Upper Texas Coast from Tuesday through Thursday.
