Smokeybear : No, they didn't leave anything. We haven't listed it for rent yet. It's been slow going fixing it up since my MIL passed last year. Not sure why they would come up to it. I was too late to catch them since I was in my backyard working.

You better start parking cars over there. My buddy has been sitting next to an empty house for years. A couple of weeks ago the cops removed two squatters. Had furniture moved in, in the middle of the night and everything. Got in through a back window. It drew attention because they had left an outdoor spigot running, which caused a flood issue and everyone knew the house had been empty; but another neighbor saw them moving in furniture... he thought people had bought the house.
