@nikkiole : I have never considered moving out of America. I do like to visit other countries. But I have no desire to live there.

We have some friends that sold EVERYTHING so they could travel the world & find where they might want to settle. They had an idea it would probably be Costa Rica, Belize, Panama.....some place fairly close to the US & tropical. They got to travel for about a year & were in Panama when the country was put in lockdown because of the virus. Lockdown there was pretty serious. The government shut down all the liquor stores 😟 & people were allowed out for only a few hours for necessities, men on a certain day of the week & women another. You had to carry your ID. People were jailed for not following the rules. After a couple of months they finally got out on a diplomatic plane. I think they LOVE the good ole USA and their ideas of moving elsewhere have changed.😊

I think me coming to Alaska should count as leaving America... everything is more expensive... the internet sucks... XM radio doesn't work... there is only like one ******* local channel and one ******* newspaper and everybody knows how to prepare salmon... like even babies fish and fillet salmon

@Vodkatini : the lockdown in Panama was/is hard. I still have a few relatives down there... the lack of alcoholic beverages is what was driving everybody crazy

@sandman : we got out of both Equador & Panama on some of the last commercial flights in March. We were glad to get home!

I've always had a fascination with England for some reason, and considered moving there before if I ever had the opportunity. Several people I know who have been in Japan for an extended period of time have told me how much more safe Japan is, and how polite their culture is. I would give living there a try if I ever had the opportunity.
