Water is continually being released as fast as possible through the gates on Lake Houston to relieve possible flooding on the San Jacinto.
The National Weather Service has revised the timeline of a Flood Warning for the West Fork of the San Jacinto River. The river is forecast to remain in flood stage until early afternoon on Tuesday, January 1.
The West Fork is expected to continue to rise near a now lower crest of 49.6 feet by Saturday morning. The Northshore subdivision, as well as the intersection of Belleau Wood and Riviera, may see flood related impacts.
