KROGER PHARMACY. .......

FYI Anyone getting maintenance medications from Krogers generic drugs program. They have stopped the program without notice. I went yesterday to pickup 4 prescriptions and got hit with the news after being told why my total went from $40 ($10 each for a 90 day supply × 4) to $100.
($25 each for a 90 day supply).
Now some might think that's not all that bad but this is just 4 of 8 filled every 90 days for two of us. The additional 4 prescriptions have no generic form so we pay over $100 each for them (after insurance discount ).
Prior to ObamaCare we paid a flat $20 copay for any prescription for 90 day supplies. If generic was available they were less than $10.
This constant shopping around for discounts for everything you need in life is making me ill.
Thanks for letting me vent LOL

ObamaCare allowed the industry to increase their charges. Believe it or not.

I suspect this will be happening to all pharmacies that offer these programs. Kroger is not going to risk losing customers unless something is going on we just don't know yet.

@inkpad321 I just said the other day to DH that I needed to make a few calls on his scripts. He goes to Kroger and we love our lady there. but when you take a bunch of pills you have to watch the cost. His insurance doesn't seem to pay enough to make it worth the premium. At least, I don't have anything but vitamins to buy. They are worse though in cost!

@inkpad321 I was going to check Costco and Sams. I read somewhere Costco has 15 ? or so that are totally free with your membership and others $4-10. I can't do it now because I am heading out for a turnaround at the beach but I will soon.

I was going to shop around too. But wonder if these programs are coming to end. I love working with the Kroger employees at Atascocita rd/Will Clayton.

Because he was bought by the insurance companies. He loves money and hates us and hopes we are all stupid.

It's very unfortunate that the American people never know the details before the votes are taken. Our elected officials sure don't have our backs these days. No wonder people want to make a statement by voting Trump.
It's mind blowing why anyone wants to continue these policies by voting Hillary. I guess not enough people have experienced as we have, The multiple situations his policies over the last 8 years can impact a family.

@inkpad321 Why don't you go to the border & get them filled in Mexico ??? My daughters x mother in-law use to go & get all her & her husbands prescriptions filled for 1 yr . I remember her saying her birth control to fill here I think it was $20 a month & it was $2 or $2.50 a month there . I've also hear of people doing prescriptions by mail in Canada .You fax the prescriptions they let you know the price & mail them to you .

People are playing Russian Roulette when getting meds from Mexico or a mail order pharmacy that claims to be a legitimate Canadian pharmacy. That's probably some teenager putting cornstarch into capsules in his mom's basement...

I wouldn't trust taking aspirin that's made in Mexico......they can't even regulate and run their own country, so I do not expect them to be able to regulate medications for appropriate ingredients and consistent quality that are made in a sterile environment. No, no, no.
