CONSTABLES ARREST SUSPECT WHO WAS 2 TIMES OVER THE LEGAL LIMIT OF ALCOHOL
 
On May 22, 2025, deputies with Constable Mark Herman's Office initiated a traffic stop in the 8300 block of FM 1960 Bypass Rd W. The driver identified as Marlon Baker, displayed multiple signs of intoxication.
 
A series of Standardized Field Sobriety Tests were administered, and it was determined he was intoxicated. A sample of his breath was collected, which showed his blood alcohol level was 0.20.
 
"Marlon Baker was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail for Driving While Intoxicated. is bond was set at $100.00 out of County Court 5." - Constable Mark Herman

This is the reason that I don't travel on any holiday. I do all of my running about in the mornings and stay content in my hood for the rest of the day.

A better question is .....why such a low bond amount?!! There is no deterent here and someone is going to get hurt or die as a result of this.

@TortieMama : Texas law makers lowered the Intoxicated Driving Offense to a misdemeanor years ago. Want a higher bond then the law needs to be changed so the offense is a Felony. Judges hands are tied on this one..

@Smokeybear : Actually, I did know that. It is just sooo dangerous and frustrating. Laws need to change to save lives don't you think?
