Important Traffic Update for FM 1960 at Timber Forest Starting May 31 at 9am 
From The Atascocita Fire Department: The Texas Department of Transportation’s (TxDOT) contractor will be making a Major Traffic Switch on FM 1960 between Business 1960 and Timber Forest, starting on May 31, 2024. Beginning May 31 at 9 am and ending June 3 at 5 am The work will allow TxDOT to move the West and East Bound Traffic on FM 1960 to the new concrete pavement between Moonshine Hill Drive to Continental Parkway. The closure is necessary to safely construct the remaining phases of this project The work is scheduled to be performed around the clock, weather permitting, to limit the amount of time traffic is impacted by lane closures to FM 1960. Traffic is encouraged to use alternate routes. Starting, Friday, May 31 at 9 am, the inside lane of FM 1960 West Bound will be closed thru rush hours, and at 9 PM Friday the traffic will be shifted to the Westbound lanes of FM 1960 which will be utilized as single lane traffic for both directions till Monday, June 3 at 5 am. Drivers should exercise caution and be prepared for extended delays during this closure. Drivers can expect delays and are encouraged to use alternate routes. Note: All closures are subject to change due to inclement weather.
