I still honk... did it this morning to a EV that cut me off. It's almost reflex in certain situations and sometimes I think afterwards "why the hell did I do that". But geez... it doesn't take that much to be a decent person on the roads... Nothing will quite affect your faith in humanity like morning drivetime traffic in Houston, TX...

West-Tex : It's very scary. We have had people try to push us off the road chasing us down, for no reason at all. We lived here about a week when some crazy guy was aggressing on my husband because he wasn't going fast enough in a 45. He was doing at least 50 and then we turned and he followed us, boxed us in and pulled a gun on my husband. Thank God he had some reasoning left in him or we would have been dead. They are just insane here like that.

Maxsmom : Right, There's no excuse whatsoever. It's an all day every day BS thing here that people think they have the right to do whatever. I think a lot of it has to do with nobody out there stopping them every day. Slow the crowd down and maybe they will learn to relax, popo. Nothing is worth the 3 stinking minutes they save by doing 80 in a 45, and get the H off the phones!!!!

Seriously though educate your friends, kids and neighbors folks that a horn is there for a purpose and it's not an offense to have it used towards you. I can't tell you how many accidents I've avoided by using mine on people that can't hold their lane. If you can't drive just get off the roads and take an Uber or a cab.

West-Tex : This road rage stuff is out of control. So many angry drivers these days. I keep my cool no matter how many times people cut me off etc. Not worth the risk of some psycho doing something crazy.

I still honk. Soooo tired of folks on their phone reading or whatever when the light changes and they just set. Obvious whet their doing, and the lights are quick to change on top of it all. For Peets sake " Just drive if your gonna drive" !!! Other wise pull off and use your damn phone. Quick honk though. Not a lay on the horn till they start moving. well except for those who are turning right ( east) on 1960 off timberforest and drive 2 miles an hour making the right at a light that only lets 3 cars through.
