I had no idea! I just remember it was a beautiful place for horseback lessons and to board horses.

MooMaw : I think they still do all of that. They've been running an event for kids all month, ends tomorrow.However, their adult events go hard, and they recently celebrated PVA&M Homecoming and the last time they caused a traffic issue was a Chicken Run. That's when I started following them, to see if they were really a problem in the community. I think they might need to contract a service to help direct traffic during their bigger events.

eighteen : Seems like they need to look into getting their own road from 1960. They've clearly invested a lot of money into this place. If something bad happens and someone is hurt or not able to get emergency care, they could lose the whole place.

They had something going on there this weekend. The entrances were being controlled by the police Fri/Sat and traffic was way backed up on that side when I drove home last night.

I will say this years ago I attended a child's birthday party there of course with my own children and the adult adults were serving adult beverages. The owners came out and gave the host an ultimatum to either put the adult beverages away or leave.They were not having it on that property!!!

I've heard about this place. I remember someone telling me they had church services there and when the trail riders would come in they would go there to the church services. I feel like it's their ranch . They've been there a lot longer than some of the homeowners and if they want to throw a party, they can throw a party. But that being said when there's so many people they need to get Security or police out there to help with the traffic. I know I wouldn't want to drive in that.

Cowboy City has been sold to a new group. The old owners were friends of mind and never had any issues with the neighbors. That parcel of land is large enough to accommodate any crowd that is likely to go to any event there.

I remember the old owners…my daughter took horseback lessons from their daughter. They were so nice and accommodating. I hope they are doing well. I am curious if the church moved somewhere else. Yes, there were no issues then…in fact it was a well kept secret. Sounds like things are running a little different now. Thanks for the update 😎
