Humble BBQ Cook-off
Well I'm exhausted and sick in bed today, but what a fun weekend and awesome experience. We have some really awesome community volunteers on ADC. I am proud and honored to have served alongside some really great folks.
@clydepuckett was such a lifesaver and amazing on-the-spot problem solver.
@smokeybear was the calm and collected person that could tell a joke in the face of stress and get everyone laughing.
@fairlane67 kept us all well fed and hydrated - the man can COOK!
@greg and
@tuckersmom were willing to patiently hang around until the late hour of tear down to help get things done quickly.
@catmae always had a sweet smile and a hug for a quick pick me up. And last but not least
@astrokatz, our fearless leader, who brought it all together with new and innovative ideas that will help improve the event for years to come.
Aside from folks on here, the Humble ISD leaders and partners that produce this event and the Rodeo next week - wow, they are really great. I have been consistently impressed with the group and amazed at the passion and dedication all have for the great town of Humble, "silent H town". 😊
Some great Rodeo (calf ropin', mutton bustin', and bull riding etc) along with Randy Rogers Band and Cody Johnson next weekend . Hope to see everyone there, it's going to be a blast. The kids get a so much more up close and personal experience than the Houston Rodeo.
