@KathyMarshall : I live in Eagle Springs. The reason I asked is because it kind of looked like you lived on Lake Houston. I used to live in Pinehurst, over by the lake. After DH died, I had to sell the house and move.

@Catmae: Living on the canal, we see so many shorebirds, turtles, occasional otters and gators. Did you used to see lots critters in Pinehurst by the lake?

@KathyMarshall : I didn't live on the lake, but there was a "ditch" between our back yard and the 2nd tee of the golf course (2nd 9). Lots of waterbirds there! Never saw a gator. I know there were quite a few coyotes that lived on the golf course, though.

EDIT: Back when I was working, a neighbor called DH and told him there was a puma in the street at the corner of our house. Just as a warning, in case one of us were heading home soon. That was in the middle of the day!
