I always get the flu shot and I never got the flu until winter before last when I traveled to Mexico and got the strain our shot didn't protect against. Oh man, that's a bad boy right there. I never want the flu again! Took a month to get back to normal.

I have never got one...does it make you sick?
I am thinking about getting the Shingles shot however.

oops...you were typing how you were sick after I posted this...sorry.

I got the shingles shot last year. I had no side effects. I had a grandmother who got it really bad and my mother had a mild (?) case, so I wasn't about to gamble on being one of the 2 out of 3 that doesn't get it... not a gambler!!!!
