Flag Disposal At Ace Hardware

Saw this bin today at Ace Hardware. They will properly dispose of worn Flags.

I will try to get the details on how they handle. Didn't think to ask them today.

@PittsburghAtHeart I've taken one there that did not survive Hurricane Harvey. One of the older gentlemen said he takes them to the VFW.

I thought there used to be a sign saying the Boy Scouts would dispose of it. Thinking it was an Eagle Scout project so maybe the VFW took over after he moved on.

Probably a crazy question, but do they take Texas flags, too, or just US Flags...

@FNULNU1954

I feel sure they do. Does not designate and they probably dispose of accordingly.

Provide some to BSA - others to VFW -

Flag retirement ceremonies are pretty neat.

they split between the vfw or American legion to properly dispose of the American flags but if you put the texas flag inside that could just thrown away
