How do I find DWI records in Texas?

How do I find DWI records in Texas?
For free? Also, does anyone know how many DUIs before your license is revoked.
The reason I ask is I ended up in the backseat of a family trip with a drunk driver. He was swerving all over the road. Later I find out he had license revoked a few years back, so I'm trying to find out how many. So angry when people do this!

You can register for an account and search harris county district clerks website for criminal cases . There may be better ways, most rural counties don't offer up the amount of details you can get on a case like Harris County does.

@ginx : Thanks. He probably didn't get any in Harris County.
I think Tx DPS has a CCH site but we have to set up an account and pay for it. Strange...I think it should be public record for free.

@texas2011 : It's complicated for sure. I wish there was a way to search all of the counties online and free. Harris is by far the most informative. My ex has an active case in Ft Bend county and I'm super annoyed I can't easily see all the details.

If you're ever looking for active cases vinelink will show you all of them, but you still have to go to the individual counties for details. I know that doesn't help you here.

@MrsT : Thanks for the vinelink info. Hadn't heard of that one. Yes, it is complicated. I was able to find a bond posting in the county he lives in for DUI and open container last month, but no court date. So with license revoked several years ago, seems like that was at least his 3rd or 4th. I feel like jail is in his future but they have money for lawyers so maybe not.

@Cbear : Thanks. I was in the 3rd row seat praying to the high heavens the whole ride. Haven't had that long of a talk with God in quite a while!
