Due to an increase in recent burglaries to motor vehicles, the Harris County PCT 4 Constable's Office quietly put more deputies on the streets overnight in Atascocita to possibly catch those responsible...And it seems to have paid off.
According to reports from PCT 4, early this morning (Friday August 3), around 1am, deputies rolled up on three suspects walking down Walden Forest Drive wearing backpacks. One suspect ran but was quickly caught by deputies. One of the others had a handgun on him. Deputies believe it was used in a shooting several days ago in Walden where a citizen was shot in the leg.
All the suspects were arrested and charges of unlawfully carrying a firearm have been filed on the male that had the gun. Investigators feel strongly these are going to be the suspects that are responsible for multiple burglaries to vehicles in the Walden area and other parts of Atascocita.
Since all three were juveniles, their photos/info were not made available.
"Investigators are in the process of connecting the dots to all these cases and anticipate filing more charges soon. Thank you for your patients while we work through this, and know together we do make a difference and we are winning the fight on crime!" ~Constable Mark Herman
