It has been a nightmare! It started out with viremia, lots of pain, heart problems, a back stimulator that needs to be ripped out of his back because it doesn't work. I can't even say all of it, hip surgery. He has a heart defibrillator. I could go on and on. If you can sit down with your spouse and have a meal at the table, say thanks. such a simple thing should not be that hard. I can't remember when we sat at the table together. I am crying now.

Goodness. I really am so sorry. I've read and heard to not let anyone do a back stimulator thing for pain. Doctors don't want to treat pain because of the DEA so they try to suggest things that don't work and line their pockets. Not all docs but entirely too many.

@lynnsgirl: Born, raised, and educated in Louisiana. All four of my grandparents immigrated (legally) from Sicily to the port of New Orleans in the late 1800s and early 1900s.

The start of Saturday dinner with the grandkids: this pizza dough will ferment in the fridge Thursday and Friday and be ready for the grandkids Saturday evening.

@lynnsgirl: mainly I just watched my grandma and my mom. We never had store bought bread, we never had store bought salad dressing, and we always had a huge pasta meal every Sunday with "Sunday sauce" that simmered on the stove all morning long. Salad was served AFTER the main meal, and I still prefer it this way. We made our own Sicilian sausage, and my grandma made ricotta from raw dairy milk.
