I think it is what @cleaner said. Some companies will split off the delivery charge to make it seem the price per kWh is lower than it is.

Yes the $0.0373/kwh is centerpoint. They also add a $3-5 base fee for the smart meter. Everything above that is the "energy provider". In my mind they are just the bill collector. 2000kwh should cost you $74.6 + $4. So $78. The rest goes to the energy co.I just signed a deal with Gexa that is oing to save me $600 over my startex renewal amount. Startex would not match but they had better rates listed on powertochoose.org.
They said its for new customers only. Well there gonna need one.

We pay 7.4 per KWH, straight across the board, same price whether we use 750 KWH
or if we use 2500 KWH. 24 month contract, no meter charge, etc. + sales tax.
