Driver's Reckless Actions Lead to Vehicle Seizure

Evading Leads to Another Seizure of Vehicle

Last night our Night Shift A, K-9 unit attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle that was traveling at 81 MPH in a poster 35 MPH zone.

The vehicle refused to stop, accelerated and ran a red light at Beltway 8 and Old Humble Rd, nearly causing a crash.

Units were able to get the vehicle stopped and the driver was placed in custody. Harris County DA Office accepted Felony Evading, Felony Possession of Marijuana and Unlawful Carry of a Weapon. They also began the seizure of the vehicle, a 2018 Alpha Romero Guilia.

My older brother had a Mercury Cougar seized, back in the mid-seventies, they used it for an undercover drug vehicle.

Maxsmom : My older brother had a Mercury Cougar seized, back in the mid-seventies, they used it for an undercover drug vehicle.

@bodyboy : Oh wow. I would think they'll do that with this one. When I was looking to buy a car actually looked at those. I thought they were beautiful, but someone told me that they're hard to find people to work on them and the dealership was so far away. But they are gorgeous gorgeous cars.

The drivers/owners in the local Alfa Romeo club would freak out, should they see this; not only because it was seized, but because it's "Alfa", not Alpha.
Beautiful Italian cars, with a cult following (and I mean that in a good way).
