Driver Arrested After Allegedly Leaving Crash in Atascocita, Leads to a Major DiscoverySteven Omengkar was arrested on a charge of Fail to Stop and Give Information and two outstanding warrants following a minor crash on October 11th, 2026, according to Constable Mark Herman's Office. Deputies responded to the 6100 block of FM 1960 Road East, where they learned that a driver had allegedly struck another vehicle and left the scene. The office identified that driver as Omengkar.After locating him, deputies reported multiple signs of intoxication and administered Standardized Field Sobriety Tests. They also confirmed outstanding warrants for Criminal Mischief and Possession of a Controlled Substance, according to the office. Omengkar was booked into the Harris County Jail, where a blood warrant was executed. The office said Driving While Intoxicated charges remained pending blood test results at the time of its announcement. His bond was set at $20,000.00 out of the 176th District Court and County Court 14.The charges and allegations are accusations, and an arrest is not a conviction.
