Houston City Council Member Dave Martin would like to make residents aware that the City of Houston Public Works Department (HPW) will be conducting two local drainage projects, beginning on Monday, February 12. One of these will be in the Atascocita Shores community.The project in Atascocita Shores will be storm sewer culvert repairs at 20723 Atascocita Shores Drive. The repairs include the removal and replacement of a collapsed storm drain.The other project is in Kingwood in the Forest Cove subdivision. This project will include a roadside storm drain improvement on St. Andrews, from Players Path to Chestnut Ridge Road, and along Players Path, from St. Andrews to Harris County Flood Control Channel G103-38-01. See Project Info Here!During construction, drivers should expect reduced traffic speeds in these areas. To ensure driver and worker safety, traffic control measures will be in place at all times. The District E office has contacted the Houston Police Department's Kingwood Substation to ask that officers monitor the location and provide assistance with traffic control as needed.
