CONSTABLES ARREST A SUSPECTED DRUNK DRIVER

On October 6, 2023, deputies with Constable Mark Herman's Office conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 18600 block of Woodland Hills Drive. The driver was identified as Jennifer Cavazos, who displayed multiple signs of intoxication.

Standardized Field Sobriety Tests were administered and it was determined that she was intoxicated. She also provided a breath sample which resulted at 0.161 and 0.164.

"Jennifer Cavazos was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Driving While Intoxicated. Her bond was set at $100.00 out of County Court 13." - Constable Mark Herman

Thankful in my clubbing days long long ago, I made it home and was only stopped once and told to just go home. Everyone I knew was doing the same thing and I don't think anyone hit the jail. Back in those olden days there was no traffic on 1960,
I hope she learns she can't drink and drive.

@ladybeachbum : She won't learn until she kills someone, and maybe not even then. When people are so drunk that they can barely hold their eyes open, especially during an adrenaline fueled arrest interaction with police, they have a serious alcoholism issue. It's sad. She's too young to be at this point.

@Sammee : She looks very young. I was a professional in my 20's and so was all my friends. I hope she learns better. We were all lucky and the area had no traffic at 2am.

@ladybeachbum : Whew! Yeah, most people have the common sense not to drive shitfaced drunk, unlike this chick. The ones who do, never learn their lesson....it's always the innocents that pay.

@Sammee : I'm not excusing her. I'm just saying that a lot of us have been there and done that but was more responsible. I did usually stop and have coffee before driving home. I don't even like coffee.
